It was mid to late afternoon as I made my way out of my small hometown.

At the end of last year I was contacted by the Flint Hills Regional Council inquiring about using some of my work in their online and print materials.

It was a heavy overcast day so there would be no vast views with blue skies to be had. More intimate images were on my mind and that's what I would be concentrating on.

My morning walk this morning only made it to the end of the driveway!

I wanted to visit the tall pines that I always see in the distance in the Big Shunga Park area. These pines have always garnered my attention and I have visited them during all times of the year.
