The weather has jut been wacky as of late. From 60 degrees the last  couple of days to last night down to 7! With the windchill we were looking at -15 degrees! What? OK, enough weather channel info.

Morning walks have been a little hit and miss. Lexi or I neither one enjoy the cold north wind early in the morning. We did however venture further off the beaten path just a while back. I wanted to visit the tall pines that I always see in the distance in the Big Shunga Park area. These pines have always garnered my attention and I have visited them during all times of the year. We walked around and I tried to spy something worthy of pointing my trusty pocket camera at. After a few minutes and some typical pictures of “the trees” I found myself looking up at the tall specimens against the blue sky.

The articulating screen of my point and shoot camera makes these type of compositions a breeze. It is one thing I don’t have these days with my bigger dslr. Guess we can’t have it all.

Still doing lots and lots of printing, things are turning out really nice as I work my way through may older images. Not going as quickly as I hoped so I will keep plugging away. I have begun sharing some of the newest prints rolling out of the printer on my facebook page as a way of stay in touch with folks. You can visit page here: Brad Mangas Photography on facebook.
