Thistles all seemed to get lumped together into a group of undesirable plants.

Known as buffalo mound it appears at the eastern edge of the Flint Hills between Manhattan and Topeka.
Even though I'm sliding into spring mode rather quickly, it's never a problem for me to share the beauty of the prairie lands.
