Words do not express thoughts very well. They always become a little different immediately after they are expressed, a little distorted, a little foolish. -Hermann Hesse

Perhaps the most appropriate first words after such a quote should be; “It goes without saying”. Of course I am referring to this writing as a “saying” as well.

At times when I feel the need to write but lack specific motives I will read quotes by such artists, writers, philosophers, or at times just read something that is a little outside my usual realm of interest. I can almost always find quotes or writings that spark a thought or question. I then will use this to help string together my own thoughts and thus a post as this. The purpose is not to debate an issue, though I do and have at times. More to dissect it so the little parts can slip into the nooks and crannies of my thoughts.

I wonder a lot. That’s it, I just wonder a lot. About many or possibly most things. My mind seems to be a playground of wonderment. It doesn’t bother me but of course I am use to it, it is the way things have always been for me.

It becomes interesting to acknowledge the reality that we all are of “a certain way”. We all have “our” thoughts, ideas, wonderments, and life. I think this is a very good thing.

Creative ways must always be a wonderment. Without wonderment I do not believe one could create, anything. We all must have some wonderment inside of us. For some it must be deep inside and for the most part hidden to their conscious selves. For others it can barely be held in check. Everything holds questions. The how’s and why’s of our world, of others, of our lives.

When viewed from a creative or wonderment angle life becomes a journey that is always bringing new thoughts, ideas, and questions. A journey that is so short that one must be diligent in creating that which touches their heart and soul the most, lest it be over before you begin.

Wonderment
