I done some work outside this morning and spent some time looking at the simple flora throughout my yard. When I was done with my chores I grabbed my camera and mounted an extension tube onto my 70-200 for some closeup shots of things I had been seeing. This is a shot of a fern stem. I kept all my shots at minimum dof to try to create a more artistic approach. I like how this has 3 very small points of focus in different areas of the fern.

It’s always fun to try different things. If the weather has has you held up just spend a few moments out in your own backyard. With an approach like this each small spot becomes a world all its own.
