A summer drive through the countryside is not only relaxing but can be an experience of the past. I come across many old stone houses and buildings when exploring these parts of Kansas. I had to stop and photograph this scene simply because I found it inspiring. The lush green field the rolling flint hills in the far distance and this small stone building. I really got to wondering just what this small building was used for. There was no sign of any other structure ever being around. No road leading into the field no stones lying around of any kind. How wonderful it must have been to live and work everyday in this area. A far cry from the city life.
