Monochrome
Emphasizing form, shapes, light, and shadow allows viewers to focus on these elements without the distraction of color.
When enjoying and partaking in photography of any kind, one quickly realizes the importance of light. More than anything else, a photograph relies on it. Without light, there is dark, black, the absence of any visual indications. With any given subject, a “non”-color version may be created. Some cases are more successful than others. Relying on shades or tones of light in many cases brings more to the design, form, and abstract nature of specfic subjects.
