Another from my hike through the woods over the weekend. I enjoyed the time spent there very much. I’m sure it was due to the fact I hadn’t ventured out into this area since late last fall. This is an area I explored extensively last spring starting around this time of the year. It will become abundant with wildflowers, including big patches of fawn lilies. I hope to find more blooming this year than last, thousands of them last year and I found only one blooming. Not sure what this is telling me but I have read it’s not uncommon for them to be abundant without blooms.
I sure felt at home in the woods, I hope they liked me being there searching for their hidden secrets.
