A shot from a few weeks ago when snow covered the vast majority of the midwest. While standing around in the cold waiting for the sunset out in the Flinthills I started finding other opportunities for photography. I had decided to stay put where I was even though it could have been considered uninteresting to many others. It’s something that I plan on doing more of, that of picking an area and just staying put. Learning to look “find” the subject and composition. It’s easy to drive mile after mile in search of that perfect spot, when many times the perfect spot can be right where your at. It can be considered a project each time one goes out to photograph nature and landscapes. Work an area and learn to find what may not be obvious at first.
