I love hiking through the woods. Surrounded by nature, rubbing up against the foliage wondering whats around every corner can be very exhilarating. Hiking through the heavy timber and taking photographs in the heavy timber sure isn’t the same thing. One might think there is a picture anywhere you stand. And that can be the truth, but getting somewhat of an open look can be a chore.

The colors of spring are so refreshing that I want to take pictures anywhere but with limbs and leaves literally in your face choices become more limiting. Here’s a shot I had to do a little work for to keep the nearby obstruction out of the view.
