This is another shot from my walk in Shunga Park at the family reunion. I found a very big old cottonwood tree that had a limb hanging over the walking trail some 20 feet long at least. Part of the limb hung down to about 6 1/2 feet off the ground and was roughly 10 inches in diameter at that point. I was able to hold the little G11 up above head high and swivel the lcd down so I could see and compose something. Set in macro mode I focused in on this little abstract looking area of the limb. This is something that I would never be able to do with my bigger camera or even my older point and shoot without the swivel lcd screen.
