I spent a good deal of time in very heavily wooded areas in Arkansas last weekend so grand views were somewhat limited. I found it nice to be able to slowly walk the these areas including creek beds and trails and concentrate more on intimate scenes as the presented themselves. I came across this tree with its roots working up out of the ground, surrounded by rocks and filled in with leaves. The odd twisted shape of the roots really grabed my attention and I spend some nice time just working on trying to compose an image. Uniqueness of nature is really everywhere if one just slows down and looks for it, it will be there.
