The fall colors are beginning to come out, from the goldenrod (which appears to be Canada goldenrod) as in this shot to the tallgrasses covering the prairies and flint hills. A really good time to sharpen up on ones shooting skills in preparation of the short but colorful season ahead.

I will be spending a week in Colorado the end of this month in hopes of hitting the fall colors in the mountains and will be getting back home to Kansas in time for plenty of opportunities around home. I have said this before but the changing of the seasons is one of most magical times of the year and one of the reasons I love living in an area that experiences such change.
