Last weekend I headed out mid afternoon as the skies started filling with clouds, forecast was for storms some possibly severe. I’m no storm chaser but I do like to be out in stormy weather as long as I can play it safe. Something about nature during a storm or rainy weather that is just totally different than a calm day and I find it exciting to say the least.

Rain was coming down not to heavily and the sun was getting lower in the western sky when I drove past a row of Indian grass along the road that lite up as the sun peaked out of the clearing western sky while the rain continued where I was standing. I’m not into drive by photography but in this case it was about the only option so down came the window and out came my pocket shooter to capture this brief display of rain and light.
