On my way to the West Elk Wilderness Range last week I was driving south of Carbondale Co. when some of the late morning views began to catch my attention. This is an quick unplanned shot pulled off along side of the road showing the wonderful fall colors and good view of Gunnison Mountain. I wasn’t the only one stopping to grab some quick shots along this stretch of road I think I saw more folks with cameras in two days than another time I have ever been out. My days there were bright with little cloud cover and I utilized my Hoya polorizer on almost every shot. As time went on I became just as thrilled with the brush and small colorful flora that covered the open lands as with the grand views of the aspens and mountains.
