This shot was taken on the next to last day of my Colorado trip the first week of October. I took an early morning drive just south of Vail along a county road and passed small campground while the light was still low on the horizon. After find a place to turn around I pulled in and simply walked off a path into this grassy area and stood for a few moments simply looking at how the light was beginning to brighten things up. I loved the lying grasses and the overall brownish tones to the scene. Time was short the sun was getting bright on this spot so I set up and made a few quick shots. Even though this in not typical Colorado scenery I really ended up liking this and with all the images I made brings back wonderful memories of being in nature.
