Daily Photograph, December 4

As the sun disappeared beyond the distant hills of Pottawatomie Co. I stood along the roadway at the bottom of the hill I had been on watching the sunset. With the brighter sky an hour or so earlier this view offered nothing of particular interest to me, but things sure do change when the sun goes down. I’ve played around with shots like this before, finding silhouettes against the colors of the sunset sky and I seem to have liked most that I have made. It brings a different view and feeling into photography, the lack of light playing just as important role as the abundance. Composition becomes much more evident in images such as this and seems to play a good roll in practicing what may or may not work or what the photographer prefers to make the main focal point of the image. In this case, it’s all about the fence and grasses.
