This is one of a series of images taken during sunrise at Shawnee Lake. A lake for the most part that is used for fun and relaxation. My morning visit was met with surprise of the fog and the beautiful colors that began to show as the sun slow made it’s way to the horizon.

This is a single exposure made with a 17-40mm lens. Holding the exposure to the brighter parts of the scene and allowing the foreground reeds to fall dark. Extra work was done in photoshop to enhance the colors with a slight Orton effect added at the end to help provide the softness that filled the air.

It’s my believe images as this are wonderful ways to promote the benefits of art in health care settings. Simple views with feelings of relaxation and beauty.
