Photographic Story ~
I know from experience you do not really know a place by one visit. Or even two, or three. As with all features of life one thing is for sure. It is always changing. Nature is the visual reminder of this.
There are places we become familiar with through many visits. Places that begin to feel as if we belong, or at minimum we understand. This may be a life long journey, but it does begin somewhere.
With lands filled with light, color, and texture, for as far as the eye can see, there seems to never be enough time. From season to season, month to month, day to day, even moment to moment. There is always change. From the way the light slides across the land, as if to turn a glow light on inside every leave or blade of tallgrass, the change is apparent. Even when subtle.
We see places we love in our minds. We imagine a new experience in our thoughts. We long for our next visit. As difficult as it can be to wait, the patience we display only strengthens our desires. This is the way it should be.
Through our experiences and memories we gain the understanding and wisdom of transcendence.
