On a recent morning visit to Shawnee Lake here in Topeka I spent time walking the waters edge looking for compelling compositions of arrowhead plants and reeds. I also needed to check out one of my favorite sunrise trees which has produced the image “Shaded Mist”. Not much in the way of plant life of spectacular surise, but what came from the quick visit was this image I’ve named “Mornings Together”. Only a few ducks made their way past as the sun slowly rose over the water casting it’s warm golden glow onto the surface. A special attraction of these two mallards struck me as their companionship was hard to miss.
Life offers many benefits when we share our thoughts and feelings with those we love. It was apparent that morning the simple act of being together holds important meanings not only to us humans, but also to the beautiful creatures we share this planet with.
