I always take some time to explore around the waters edge, be it small creek, river, pond or lake. On this particular day I found a mix of prints on some sandy shore along a small creek close to home. I’m fairly sure this is a raccoon print.

The print on the sandy shore didn’t have much in the way of dramatic look to it, a rather plain image and with various processing I couldn’t get the print to stand out much. I played around with various presets in Topaz Adjust and found this “dark night” preset to have a rather interesting look. A good amount of darkening and color variance was give to the lighter sand while keeping the darkness of the actual print somewhat intact.

Animal print can make quite intimate images and most of the time takes more than just a snap shot to capture the intimate look and feel they can portray.
