A work up of a shot from yesterday. I’m not sure what this ornamental shrub is but it was full of blooms. This was taken while the wind was blowing pretty good, like most days in Kansas. Late afternoon and still bright skies allowed me to dial the iso up to get a shutter fast enough to capture this. Obviously only focused on the single bloom.
The processing of this took advantage of Topaz Adjust using the preset “Dark Night”. When I applied this (not knowing how it would act) it brought out the brightest part of the shot, the one single bloom that was focused on. A unique look for sure, not many shots will accept this preset in a good way.
